I thought snow was the best way to finish off my Europe stint. It was one of the last places I visited before I came home. The first and only time I had seen snow before this was in Orange, which is in rural NSW. It was more like frozen dirt and it absolutely sucked. This was nothing like that or the fake snow they pump onto the mountains so that we can pretend we have a ski season – this was real, and so so beautiful.
Grindelwald is home to the longest tobogganing route in the world; and while i’d like to say I completed it (one companion was maybe a little chicken) we gave the latter 20kms a pretty good shot.
