Macquarie Place

October 30, 2012 § Leave a comment

This was another early project in response to Macquarie Place in Sydney CBD. Macquarie Place is a very significant place in Sydney however it has been reduced to a tiny green triangle, jam packed with historical artefacts. It is bordered by a noisy bus waiting zone, cafes and newsagencys. This project looks at traditional botanical specimens from the 1800s, recreating significant flora from the park from site specific found man made objects – such as newspaper and bus tickets.
